Spam Issues

Hello Folks:

I appreciate hearing from you -- for any reason! -- but in this case, regarding spammers popping up here on occasion. As soon as I can, I go in & block them. Unfortunately I've become a "pro" in ways insofar as recognizing certainly which are fake, rather than genuine Robert Taylor fans. There is one picture in particular circulating throughout a # of social networks--the pretty blondish woman w/hand under her chin. When you see that

Update -- Sorry for being AWOL

A quickie here. Sorry for being AWOL, folks. My husband & I had a cyber-attack on our bank account via PayPal & it's taken a bit of time & energy to get it all cleared up. My warning to all -- pay close attention to all your passwords! Also have had to handle some family issues but I'm back. Again, my thx to Birdy. I've re-worked her banner artwork & hope it looks better now. She was gracious enough to re-do it a bit so that it showed better her

Please, all, let Birdy know what you think of her amazing artwork.

Quo Vadis Being Released on Blu-Ray!

I have it on very good recommendation that the new release of Quo Vadis on Blu-Ray is absotively breathtaking. I have mine on order & if you liked it first time around, or at any time since on VCR, DVD, or just plain ol' TV, you will without doubt love it on Blu-Ray--assuming you have the Blu-Ray player. My husband and I received one for Christmas from our son, and I was blown away at how much clearer everything is, and how amazing the colors show up.

Robert Taylor- The great actor !

I haven't seen all Robert Taylors movies yet. The clips on youtube have given me the opportunity to see scenes from most of them. But I must admit that Im not so interested in the movie it self or the other actors. I allways look for Robert and wait for him to enter the movie and I find myself comparing him to the other actors and no matter if it is an unknown actor or a famous one like Robert Mitchum, Robert Taylor allways shines stronger then the others. Even though I like Robert Mitchum too a… Continue

Special Report on KGB Spies in the U.S. - WTOP News, Washington, DC

This is a link that point-blank and states that those folks who were worried & publicly petitioning against Communism prior to WWII--Robert Taylor being one, as we here all know--were justified in their concerns. While this audio clip does not mention Taylor--heck, it doesn't even mention J. Parnell Thomas or Martin Dies or Ronald Reagan or any of the earlier players--it does give voice . . . on today, the 4th of July, of all days . . . to the reality that Bob Taylor & his compatriots we… Continue

TCM Recognition

I just received my copy of TCM's "Now Playing" magazine for August. Although I was told by their senior vice president of programming several months ago that Bob Taylor would not be included in "Summer Under the Stars" (for the 7th year in a row; nor to my knowledge, was he given the honor of being selected "Star of the Month" at any time during the 6 years I have been able to receive TCM), I was still shocked to see some of the names that were selected, including Sterling Hayden, Merle Oberon,… Continue

40 years

Its been over 40 years since Bob's passing, this month. Im wondering what the other members here did to remember Bob on this day in June. I visited his findagrave entry, and would one day like to visit the actual place where he is interred. Im wondering what future generations will do to remember the great Bob Taylor........

Birdy, I understand your thoughts & respect your point of view. This isn't posted to get into any lengthy discussion on American politics--then or now. Simply to place the reality of what Bob Taylor was facing at the time in his life when many oth...

I DO have an own political point of view, but I think, this isn't the right place to talk about American politics, even if the MOVIESTAR - this site is dedicated to (I thought so) - was in a way involved... There is much more needed to be a qualif...
