Spam Issues

Hello Folks:

I appreciate hearing from you -- for any reason! -- but in this case, regarding spammers popping up here on occasion. As soon as I can, I go in & block them. Unfortunately I've become a "pro" in ways insofar as recognizing certainly which are fake, rather than genuine Robert Taylor fans. Quo Vadis Being Released on Blu-Ray!

I have it on very good recommendation that the new release of Quo Vadis on Blu-Ray is absotively breathtaking. I have mine on order & if you liked it first time around, or at any time since on VCR, DVD, or just plain ol' TV, you will without doubt love it on Blu-Ray--assuming you have the Blu-Ray player. My husband and I received one for Christmas from our son, and I was blown away at how much clearer everything is, and how amazing the colors show up.

Occasional Spam ... Unfortunate

Hello all Taylor friends:

It's been brought to my attention that a "new member" has been spamming mailboxes. I wasn't aware of this since somehow my mailbox was "missed" ... a rather crafty move, I'd say. I appreciate it it when you all keep eyes & ears out for this sort of thing. I come by regularly & see what's new, who's posted, & touch base. I can't be here all the time, though, & that's where attention from you wonderful folks is crucial.

I just received the following message from one of our members, Dianne. I want to preface the information by saying Dianne has been instrumental in making sure Bob Taylor stays in the forefront of Turner Classic Movie's awareness. She's followed through regularly with letters, asking that they honor him with a tribute. I can tell you she's been at this for quite some time & when she started, there seemed little possibility ... not really much response.

Blessed New Year to ALL My Robert Taylor Friends

Today is the 1st day of 2010. Sounds amazing to just hear that year in numbers. I saw Willard Scott on "The Today Show" last week. He does the Smucker's tribute to folks over 100 & he was talking about the impending New Year. He made a quick aside, a very personal comment, & the way he said it, I knew it wasn't planned. "Heavens," he remarked about 2010, "I didn't expect to ever live this long."
