Was it jealousy that broke Robert with Barbara, Ive read a lot about her and she seemed to be very shy in public but a really nice decent person who treated everyone on set the same way whether big star or spark.. does anyone know what went wrong.

I read on IMdb that Bob did play the piano in "Her Cardboard Lover." It's on the soundtrack section for the movie. I was wondering if anyone has the audio or video of Bob singing in "Broadway Melody of 1936"? I've looked all over not only for the ...

The first time I saw both Broadway Melody I thought he was playing the piano. I assume he played the piano on screen like other actors and actresses did it, emulating pianists' movements and gestures rather than actually performing. But I do think...

He sang while supposedly playing the piano in "Tip on a Dead Jockey," "Three Comrades," and "Her Cardboard Lover." I know the piano was not his specialty, but was he actually playing?

He didn't play the cello on screen but he did it on radio. On February 13, 1938 Bob was the guest in the Jack Benny's radio program called The Jell-O Program. Jack and Bob played "Mighty Lak' A Rose" doing a violin-cello duet. Ten years later, on M...

Margaret, so happy to see a new member in our growing Robert Taylor group! You & I, it seems, have a lot in common. Besides Robert Taylor (of course), & that "movie madness" all 'round, I, too, love old graveyards, my grandkids, & lovely glass. I collect glass, particularly Swedish. And my grandfather's family was from Glasgow--my grandfather was 1st generation American. I'd love to get there some day & do some real genealogy . . . & roam some graveyards! ; >

Please post at will, start your own conversations, add photos--& have a good time.
